Baintech 75Amp Slim Lithium Ultimate Battery System – Includes Redarc BCDC1225D – Victron Energy Smart Shunt


The Baintech slim 75Amp lithium battery is a fantastic product designed to fit in vehicle locations such as behind the rear seats in any ute or dual Ute, under floor mounting in Y62 Nissan Patrol and on the rear of a in vehicle draw system.  This is just a few mounting ideas but the options are endless depending on the vehicle type.

The lithium cells in the Baintech battery are LifePO4 prismatic cells and the battery is a fully serviceable unit with 5 year warranty.
The maximum continuous discharge rate of the Baintech Slim 75Amp Lithium battery is 100Amps.  This means that any appliance can be powered from the Baintech 75Amp battery as long as the load doesn’t exceed 100Amps. Common appliances such as 12v fridges, LED lighting and 12V accessories such as USB charging can easily be plugged in.
Plus a maximum power inverter size of 1000 Watts can be powered from the battery for powering small coffee machine, drink mixer and charging cordless power tool batteries.

A second Baintech 75Amp Slim Battery can be plugged in in parallel to increase the Amp Hour capacity and will double the continuous discharge rate to 200Amps.  This opens the option for a 2000 watt inverter.

This package includes the Non In-built DC model.  We have designed this system with a Redarc BCDC1225D. With this option the system will charge from the vehicle alternator and all so MPPT solar charging.  Plus the charge capacity of the Redarc BCDC1225D is 25Amps for a more rapid charge time.  We do recommend attaching the ignition cable for reliable consistent charging from the Redarc BCDC1225D. 6Mtr of 8 bns twin cable is supplied to sire in the Anderson input charge cable to the Redarc1225D charger from the main battery.

To monitor the Baintech 75Amp Slim battery system a Victron Energy Smart Shunt has been included to display the battery percentage charge, Amp Current discharge or charge, Power Watts in discharge or charge and Consumed Amp Hours as well as Time remaining.

Included is a Thumper control box with a Volt Meter and 2 sockets of your choice.  This can be mounted in the rear of the vehicle or the tub of a Ute.  The cable supplied for this is a 6Mtr 6mm twin cable with inline fuse.



At just 8kg, the unique slimline shape makes it the perfect battery for installations where space is a premium. Slide it behind a seat, bolt it to a wall or at the back of a cupboard.

75Ah Slimline Lithium Battery battery provides up to 100A of continuous discharge or charge and can be stacked in parallel to increase amp hour storage capacity. Charge and discharge are via the two grey Anderson plugs. (Grey Anderson Plugs are rated up to 120A)  Note, an external fuse must be used.

Why Lithium?

Lithium batteries provide more usable capacity than lead acid batteries. Deep discharging does not affect the life of a lithium battery the way it does with lead acid batteries. You can use the battery longer before needing to recharge, without damage to the battery.

Cost Effective Over Life Cycle

When considering the usable capacity and lifespan of lithium batteries, they work out cheaper than lead acid. When you add the cost and inconvenience of refitting new lead-based batteries every few years the total cost of ownership over the long term is far better with lithium batteries.

Longer life

Lithium batteries are rated for 2,000 – 5,000 cycles and much more if used carefully, giving you several times the life expectancy of standard lead acid batteries.


Lithium batteries allow you to pull far more amps out of the same size battery systems.


Lithium batteries are less than half the weight of the equivalent lead acid battery. Lithium batteries can be up to a third of the weight of the equivalent lead acid AGM battery. This is an important consideration for anybody who is mobile.

A 100Ah AGM deep cycle battery can be up to 38kg in weight, whereas the same size lithium battery can be less than 12kg in weight!

That means you can at least double or even triple the stored battery capacity on a RV, or alternatively use the reduction in battery weight to bring more water, or food or luggage on your trip.

Reducing weight in a RV helps to keep you under the tare weight, reduces aerodynamic drag which improves fuel efficiency while on the road.

Fast recharge

Lithium batteries charge more efficiently, and don’t require as many stages during charging. Therefore, they will charge faster, and hold more of the energy from solar panels and other charging device.

The REDARC BCDC1225D In-vehicle Battery Charger is the next generation in REDARC’s DC to DC charging technology, with additional features that make it the most advanced dual battery charger on the market.

Featuring a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) solar regulator, the BCDC1225D will charge from both solar and the alternator simultaneously. And, with built-in ‘Green Power Priority’ it will select solar charging first, meaning less load on the alternator.

The SmartShunt is an all in one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more.

Alternatively the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE.Direct cable.

The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted.
The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor.
